Welcome to Kidsville! Today is my first day in Kidsville. I woke up and prepared very early. Then on my way there, I got lost. Big time!
Klarence and I had the same way to our school. The difference is, I still had to walk some more to Kidsville. During my walking part, that’s when I got lost. I was lost for almost two hours. I was literally crying while walking. I tried to ask for directions and I ended up getting more and more lost. Klarence also had the feeling that I was getting lost so she contacted me and told me to go back to where we separated and then start walking again. That’s when I saw Kidsville. I was really happy to be there and that’s when I faced my second challenge of entering Kidsville. The staff did know that I was arriving today so they barely payed attention to me. I introduced myself, but still wasn’t able to come in. Mr. Irwan, the principal, the only person I knew from Kidsville wasn’t there yet so I waited. Luckily, Mr. Oscar happened to pass by. We introduced ourselves and then he escorted me inside Kidsville. We went to the teacher’s room where I waited for Mr. Irwan’s instructions. After a few minutes, the team leader, Ms. Dini said that Mr. Irwan already texted and that I have been assigned to K1 and K2. She gave me a tour around Kidsville and handed me over to Ms. Yeni and Ms. Katrin, the K1 teachers. After that, I went in and proceeded to observing K1. Car Free Day and Bandung Zoo

Peer Teaching
BaluburToday we had an orientation with Ibu Diana and Pa Jupri as preparation for our upcoming deployment to our schools. They introduced us to Indonesia’s educational system and we talked about what we should do and how we should behave there.
They also surprised us with the announcement that we will have a peer teaching starting tomorrow and that Klarence and I will be first. Ibu Diana also told me that I have a supervisor already and that she will come tomorrow to observe me. After the orientation, they introduced us to Wafa and Nisa, Ibu Diana’s students who will escort us to places that we want to go to. I said that I want to go to a place where I can buy cheap materials for my instructional materials and so we went to Balubur. At Balubur, I bought a lot of materials. Being a preschool teacher, I really had to invest a lot in materials so good thing that the prices in Balubur were a bit cheap. After buying, I went home already to prepare for my peer teaching. Opening Ceremony Today is our opening ceremony. They presented to us our schedule of events for our whole stay in Indonesia. I got excited already, especially when I got the feeling that my school would be the one that is written “Kidsville”. I feel like it’s a really cute name for a school.
Then we introduced ourselves. I feel like I did a great job introducing myself because they were smiling. Next were the supervisors, all the supervisors were present except for mine. They said that they are still looking for a supervisor for me specifically from the Early Childhood Depertment. It’s okay for me and I just hoped that whoever she or he may be, we will get along just fine. Next are the representatives for the schools, and I was right! Mine, is Kidsville. The one who is present is Mr. Irwan, the principal of Kidsville. He said that he feels like I will get along with the students, and that I will meet a lot of really cute students at Kidsville. Which is good for me, I cannot wait! After the ceremony, we met Putri and Endris. Who gave us a tour at some places in Bandung. We went home a bit late, but very happy. Museum of Education and Ciwalk
